Enrollment is open to anyone, and the certification is earned by passing ten graded modules at 75 percent. Here is who it is built for and how each profession claims CE credit.

Any clinician or healthcare professional who enrolls in the Peptavo Peptide Therapy Course and passes the graded quiz in each of Modules 1 through 10 can get Peptavo certified. Enrollment is open, there is no licensure check at purchase, and the credential is earned through assessment alone. The course is written at medical school depth for people who prescribe and manage patient care, so the practical answer is anyone prepared to pass ten clinical assessments at 75 percent or better.
This guide covers who the certification is built for, what it takes to earn it, how each profession claims continuing education credit, and what the credential means for your scope of practice.
The curriculum assumes a working foundation in physiology, pharmacology, and patient management. It runs from peptide pharmacology through candidate selection, dosing, sequencing, safety monitoring, sourcing, and the regulatory framework for compounded therapies. That makes it the strongest fit for professionals who evaluate patients and write or carry out treatment plans:
No. Anyone can enroll, and Peptavo does not verify licensure at checkout. Two things are worth knowing before you do.
The material is demanding. It moves at the pace of a practitioner who already understands physiology and pharmacology, and every one of the ten required assessments is graded on the server.
The public registry is also transparent about who holds each credential. During signup, a clinician can enter a National Provider Identifier (NPI). When that number is confirmed as active in the national NPI registry, the holder's public record is labeled "Verified prescriber" and displays the NPI. Every other holder is labeled "Member." A patient or employer who looks up a certificate number sees that distinction immediately.
The requirement is the same for every profession:
The credential is issued as soon as the last of the ten quizzes is passed, and it is dated by the attempt that completed the set. Modules 11 and 12 are bonus material and are not required. Each certification carries a unique certificate number in the format PEP-XXXXX-XXXXX.
For a full account of what those ten modules cover, read What Is a Peptavo Certification?
Certification and continuing education credit are two separate credentials earned from the same ten modules. The certification comes from Peptavo. The credit comes from Pinnacle Conference, LLC, which is jointly accredited by the ACCME, the ACPE, and the ANCC, and it is claimed by submitting a post-activity evaluation once the modules are passed.
The activity designates up to 20 credits, in the form each profession's board recognizes:
| Profession | Credit designation |
|---|---|
| Physicians | Up to 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits |
| Nurses | 20 ANCC NCPD contact hours |
| Pharmacists | ACPE credit reported through CPE Monitor |
| Physician assistants | 20 AAPA Category 1 CME credits |
| Dentists | 20 hours of ADA-CERP continuing education |
| Athletic trainers | Up to 20 BOC Category A hours |
| All other attendees | An AMA PRA Category 1 participation certificate |
Sixteen of the 20 hours are identified as pharmacotherapeutic content, which nurses and nurse practitioners may self-report as pharmacology credit. Credit is claimable through August 24, 2029, and the accreditation page carries the full designation statements. The accreditor's source documents are public too: the CME activity detail page (PDF) and Pinnacle's pre-approval letter (PDF).
Yes. The course, the assessments, and the Peptavo certification are all available to clinicians practicing outside the United States, and the registry record shows the holder's country in place of a state. Continuing education credit works differently: the accredited activity is issued to practitioners licensed in the United States, and the signup flow tells international clinicians so before they pay.
A Peptavo certification documents education and assessed competence. Licensure, prescribing authority, and scope of practice stay exactly where they were before you enrolled. Whether you can prescribe, dispense, or administer a given peptide is decided by your state license, your board, and the federal and state rules on compounded drugs. The course teaches that regulatory map in detail so certified clinicians can practice inside it with confidence.
Every certification is listed in a public registry by default. Anyone with your certificate number can enter it at the Peptavo Certification Search and see your name, your status, and the date you were certified. You can switch the listing to private from your dashboard at any time.
That lookup is a large part of what gives the credential its value. Why Certification Verification Matters explains how it works and who uses it.
Yes. Nurses earn the same certification by passing the same ten assessments, and they can claim 20 ANCC NCPD contact hours for the activity.
No. Enrollment is the only prerequisite. The curriculum opens with three foundation modules before the advanced clinical material begins.
No. The certification has no expiration date and no renewal requirement. Peptavo can revoke a credential, and the public registry reports a revoked credential as revoked.
The ten required modules are designated for 20 hours, covering video lessons, slide material, and assessments. There is no schedule, so you can complete them at your own pace. Modules 11 and 12 are bonus material you can take whenever you like.
Enrollment is open, so anyone may attempt it. The assessments are written for clinicians, and a learner without a background in physiology and pharmacology should expect the material to be difficult.
If you hold a clinical role and you are ready to be assessed on ten modules of peptide pharmacology, protocols, safety, and regulation, you can get Peptavo certified. Review the course FAQ for enrollment details, or start your enrollment when you are ready.
